so i've known about the official website for some time now, but never really thought of posting it, for those who wish to know what is gonna be in the new installment of super smash bros, check out this site: www.smashbros.com
I'd also like to note that SONIC IS IN BRAWL :DDD At first i hated the idea that people thought he was in melee, but now that he's officially in brawl, i'm psyched for it.

XD Two? that's not fair ... well actualy this is weird ... i have more than enough money to buy it ... so why ? There's got to be a reason but i just can't remember it ^^
I'm afraid I don't know what Torchic is angie, you should check the site if you wanna confirm that rumour
Oh yes, I forgot to add that the site updates periodically, so in the character list, it continues to update,so the ones shown aren't all the characters in brawl quite yet

Zelda in melee is quite a tricky fighter, well, you can transform into sheik in melee, not sure if you can in brawl, but sheik was the actual "fighting" counterpart of zelda

Torchic is one of the starter pokémons in Pokémon sapphire that little yellow/orange bird xD;; I'm not a torchic stalker only 'cus I can name all it's evolve things and what level it evolves to the different pokémons? ._.
I would love to have Brawl in my disposal, but unfortunately, i do not have a WII! DX:;; gah! they're so effing hard to find these days because of all the Christmas Shopping! DX

um, well, angie, all pokemon that I've ever had that eveolve twice (except a few odd ones) all evolve at level 14-18, and 30-40, It's just a pattern I've noticed from playing the original red and Diamond

I know that Suicune, Mew, Bonsley, Lugia, Bellossom, Ho-Oh, Staryu, Togepi, Celebi, Wobbuffet, Snorlax, Munchlax, Meowth, and Entei are in it. And if you play as the pokemon trainer to battle you can use Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard.
There is a video that was released that shows Rayquaza, Kyogre, and Torchic but I don't know if they are playable.

Consider Snake as a "Japanese Chuck Norris". He can single handedly defeat the entire Outer Heaven Fortress (Metal Gear Solid thing.) with his fists, a pistol, a tranquilizer, and a rocket launcher! :D
But the thing is, He has a rocket launcher in Brawl a well! I think it evens out ;]

Hehehe I can't wait myself. I'm borrowing my brother's Wii just for the launch week. (he forgot to get me a christmas gift >=]) I unfortunately still have about $100 more till I can attempt to reserve a Wii somewhere. ;.;
After checking out the complete character list I was a little disapointed. J ust a little though xD. I'm really pleased with the new additions to the game. And since Marth is still there I can't complain. :B

Most of them are prolly Assists. I know Jiggy and Lucario and Pika (gragh, I think Pika's still in... brain's exscaping me) are in the lineup and are playable. The rest would be assists or from Pokéballs/Monster Balls (xP Japanese name)
Snorlax has been in since SSB for N64~ <3 Best Pokémans to come out of the pokéball evar. Seriously, you'r opponent is screwed if he comes out~! <3
And Side note : Dojo's releasing some secret chars. and how to get 'em.
Either way, no matter who comes out, my choices will always be Kirby, Pika, Jiggy.

Bahahaha, that's never a connection I'd've made
I don't have a Wii but my friend does, and he and I have been, like, eterrrrnal rivaaaals in SSBM, so I'll probably go over there to play it...I'm concerned about the controls, though... hoping it's /not/ motion sensitive....X_x
Sonic is gonna be fun to play, and I could see his spring move useful in team battle, Samus is always awesome, and we get a little swordie char from the kirby-verse. Glad Marth is still in if not Roy, though the lack of Flare Blade Smash Up is always a crying shame...
All in all, I'm anticipating it, but probably not as excited as most since I don't have the console myself

My brothers have the game but I've played it like twice since I can't afford to buy it for my own Wii. So who does everyone like playing as? I'm still gunna play as Sheik. >D

Update! My friend char and I faced off on brawl, another round in our eternal Marth vs Link epic battles (on wide maps like this battle's Hyrule Temple, these things can stretch out to 20+ minutes X_x;; we're both way too good at comebacks and surviving to make them), and bored our friends who were over as well (we all crashed his house with minimal warning). It ended in my victory after about 10 minutes, he wasn't on his best game during the later half of the match so I walked all over him. I'm very fond of the buff to Blade Dance, though--it's actually usable now! Haven't used the new thrusting Shield Breaker enough to compare to the old version.
Hopefully, more battles to come, and I want to try out Ike--I'm normally not great with slower power-types, but he's a swordie, so I have to try him out~
[/boringbabbling]
The game looks mad awesome, graphics as expected from a next-generation console and game, and the final-smash-things and ship-thing-pieces are interesting additions to the mix! I'm sure I'd have more to say if I owned a Wii and the game, though...^ ^;;

I don't know what to think of it...I just...I don't know...I guess I'm kind of disappointed, but then honestly I have never been a fan of the Wii controls....I guess it just takes a while to warm up to, I was really hoping for more stages and better looking attacks, I guess Melee will forever hold its place in my heart.
Gosh Brawl has been amazing for me so far. (got a wii and brawl for my birthday) Whenever I get the chance me and my brother play on WiFi since he's in college, and I don't think I'll ever get tired using Zero Suit Samus to whip Kirby outta the board. Though I really have to say the final boss is irritatingX10, the one-hit KOs tend to get very very old. On a different note I like to use Toon Link, ZS Samus, Sheik, and Pit.
To those who dislike the Wii controls: Got a Gamecube controller?
To the one who dissed the final boss: you think he's hard on things like Easy through Hard? Play with him on Intense. I had to get REALLY lucky to beat him, after like 20-25 attempts. i STILL used my entire group, too. (Being vague to prevent as many spoilers as I can.)
The only Playable Pokemon are Jigglypuff, Pickachu, Lucario, and Pokemon Trainer (He uses Squirtle, Ivysuar, and Charizard). I have all the Characters in Brawl already and I think my fav has to be between Ike, Peach, Zero Suit Samus, Pit, and Sonic. Lol I can't choose!

I only beat him on intense when me and my other brawl playing buddy spent a whole night up trying to beat him. And then we found out about stickers >.< after a very long period of fails.
So I have it now. And have 10+ hours logged on it, 8:30 of that in Spectral. My god, someone HELP ME STOP.

Knew I what 'Spectral' meant, I could help you. Maybe. Is that the Subspace Emissary, by chance?
Btw, I logged almost twelve hours my first day owning Brawl. Got up to pretty much the last area in SSE in the first day, but that's about all I did except a little bit in other areas.
My new favorite character is definitely Lucario. I was a big mewtwo fan before, but Lucario is awesome, way awesome! (No Disable->point-blank Shadow Ball combo now, though...)
Ike follows closely, and Falco's new moves are interesting, though I liked the normal shield...ah, well, it's more offensive now, and works just as well!

I enjoy playing as Captain Falcon, the most hated character ever, jut for the hell of it. But if I'm actually gonna play, like, in a "I WANNA WIN! GRR" kinda way, I usually play as mario, lucario, or olimar. =] If ANYBODY wants to play wi-fi with me, my friend code on brawl follows 3523-1896-3960

My new main is hated? i'll need to remember that. The Captain's my best character, but I'm thinking of training as Wolf, since I took my friend out eight times in a row with him. He's pretty decent, I guess. Of course, I have other characters for other modes, like Fox is my boss slayer. Fun stuff. My friend code... i'll have to grab it later, but I'm not on there much. Usually only when I'm doing matches with my one awesome-at-this-game friend. I'll try to be on more, though, once I post my FC.
after playing my favorite character in the game remains Kirby. his smash ball thing is just great, there was always a reason i only used kirby, and now i know why

Kirby....yum....*munches kirbies for mid-day snacks*
....
And the forum ate my post!
+Kirby is one of the ultra-classic brawlers, and one of my favorite lightweights~

let me get one thing straight before I post this. I do not hate smash brothers I played meele on my gamecube and actually had a good time with it
Here's a link to yathzee's video review: SSBB REVIEW
now before I get hundereds of rude messages let me qualify by saying I don't agree with yathzee 100% I'm just bringing his review to your attention
Because this seemed the only way to actually get someone to reply to a post of mine I'm not bitter just very frustrated ><

He has an interesting collection of viewpoints, and makes a number of good points. Would it be bad form to comment on some of the ones that struck me the most?
But, personally, I'm not really sure the SSB series can fall under the umbrella of what I see as 'classic fighting games', there's an infinitely greater amount of stage interference, obstruction, and several cases where, well, 'fighting the opponent' takes a backseat to 'not getting killed by the stage.'
Secondly, I'm a fan of 'expanding gameplay,' and the idea of working to unlock characters or features, provided they were worth the effort, was always fun for me, and SSB is one of the most widely-aimed in that regard: depending on your interest, you could just stick with what you have and if you unlock something, good for you; you could go around and get all the extra characters and the stages to play on and to heck with the trohpies (=my goal on melee and brawl), or you could try and go for full-completion and go all the way.
That said, I feel he's somewhat biased against fighting games in general and anything that looks like one. I used to be similar, but it's an inside-the-box / outside-the-box issue--once I started trying to play fighting games, I realized just how ineffective just spamming buttons is, especially in the long-run (a greater number of battles is less affected by outling samples of data). SSB is even greater in this regard, as the lack of button sequences and focus on effective movement make it very hard to win by spamming.
That said, I don't feel like the above invalidates his views....but he's a very angry person... -LT
